Samara Weaving & Jason Segel Bring On ‘Till Death Do Us Part’ In Over Your Dead Body Trailer

Trio 87North, XYZ Films, and Resolute Films have just released the trailer for Over Your Dead Body, the new horror-comedy from director Jorma Taccone and featuring stars Samara Weaving (Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come) and Jason Segel (Shrinking).

Taccone’s take, as directed from the script written by Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney, is a remake of the 2021 Norwegian horror comedy The Trip by Tommy Wirkola. The original film, whose title is I onde dager (In evil/bad days), starred Askel Hennie and Noomi Rapace as a dissatisfied couple whose secret plots to kill the other during a trip are halted by their kidnapping by three fugitives.

Borderline’s Weaving and This is 40’s Segel take on the roles of the central, scheming couple in Taccone’s remake. Additional cast members include Timothy Olyphant, Juliette Lewis, Paul Guilfoyle, and Keith Jardine.

Scott Schooman, the Head of Independent Film Group, has described the film as “a dark, twisted, and riotous action comedy, with a killer cast – a perfect recipe to delight audiences on the big screen.”

Over Your Dead Body will oversee a 14th March premiere at the 2026 South by Southwest Film Festival before being released inUS cinemas on April 24th.
