Sally El Hosaini’s The Swimmers Second Trailer Dives Online

Later this month Sally El Hosaini‘s The Swimmers will be released. Ahead of the release Netflix have released an inspiring second Trailer.
The film made it’s premiere in September at Toronto Film Festival, mixed reviews. Whatever you think of this one, it’s going to pull your heartstrings in many directions. Inspiring, powerful stuff which will go down well with many cinephiles.
This off course is based on a true story, one of Issa sisters Nathalie and Manal ( Yusra Mardini and Sara Mardini). Who fled war-torn Syria to the appear at 2016 Rio Olympics, two young sisters embark on a harrowing journey as refugees. Putting both their hearts and champion swimming skills to heroic use.
The Swimmers tells the true story of swimming sisters Yusra and Sarah Mardini’s miraculous journey as refugees from war-torn Syria, all the way to the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The film is helmed by Welsh Egyptian director/writer, Sally El Hosaini, whose last film My Brother the Devil (2013) premiered at Sundance Film Festival winning the World Cinema Cinematography: Dramatic prize before securing El Hosaini the Best British Newcomer prize at the BFI London Film Festival and Best European Film at Berlinale.
The roles of Yusra and Sarah Mardini are played by Lebanese actresses and real life sisters, Manal and Nathalie Issa.
The film also stars Matthias Schweighöfer, Ahmed Malek, James Krishna Floyd, Nahel Tzegai, with Kinda Alloush and Ali Suliman.
The Swimmers will now have a limited UK and Irish cinemas from 11th November. Then heading to Netflix from 23rd November.
