Road House 2: Peter Sarsgaard and Rob Delaney Join Cast
Deadline have reported that Peter Sarsgaard (September 5) and Rob Delaney (Dying for Sex) have joined the cast of Amazon MGM Studios’ Road House 2.
Plot specifics for the sequel remain under wraps but Jake Gyllenhaal is due to return as UFC fighter/bouncer Dalton. The cast also includes previously announced Leila George, Aldis Hodge, and Dave Bautista. Currently the details for Sarsgaard and Delaney are under wraps but it is believed they will be joining the other additions for the sequel: Rico Verhoeven, Michael Chandler, Michael ‘Venom’ Page, Dustin Poirier, Stephen Thompson, Tyron Woodley, Jay Hieron, Andrew ‘King Bach’ Bachelor, Iko Uwais, and Hidetoshi Nishijima. Hieron will be reprising his role as UFC fighter Jax โJetwayโ Harris from the first film.
The sequel will follow the story from the 2024 release Road House, Amazonโs reboot of the โ80s classic starring Patrick Swayze, which drew 80 million viewers worldwide in its first eight weeks on Prime Video. It is believe that the film is going to be a production of greater scale and ambition than the previous film, with filming due to take place across the U.K., Malta, and Savannah, Georgia.
Ilya Naishuller is directing from a script by Will Beall and Atlas Entertainmentโs Charles Roven and Alex Gartner are producing alongside Nine Stories Productionsโ Jake Gyllenhaal and Josh McLaughlin (who are under a three-year first-look film deal with Amazon MGM).
