Revenge On Johnny Depp’s Mind In Day Drinker Teaser Trailer
“Here’s Johnny!” After several years of personal controversaries Johnny Depp is set to return to mainstream Hollywood with Day Drinker. Today Lionsgate Films sent us the first teaser trailer and it looks like Mr Depp has revenge on his mind.
Marc Webb directs this one and The Amazing Spiderman director whose last film was the disastrous Snow White live action. He’ll be hoping like his lead actor this film will get him back on the right track critically and with cinephiles.
The distributor must have faith in this project with this early look for a film that is not out for another 6 months. Along side Depp this also stars Madelyn Cline , Penélope Cruz, along with Manu Ríos, Arón Piper, Juan Diego Botto, and Anika Boyle. The actual plot details are still a little vague, what we do know is a private yacht bartender meets a mysterious guest on board the yacht. The encounter drags her into an entanglement with a criminal figure taking in ways she never expected.
It’s early days to truly decide if this is any good. However has our leading actor’s controversaries damaged his reputation to beyond repair? Hard to see what direction the film is going hopefully things come clearer when future trailers arrive.
Synopsis | In DAY DRINKER, a private-yacht bartender (Madelyn Cline) encounters a mysterious, onboard guest (Johnny Depp). They soon find themselves entangled with a criminal figure (Penélope Cruz) and connected in ways no one saw coming.
Day Drinkeris set for a 26th March 2027 UK and Irish cinema release.
