Revenge Best Served Cold In UK Trailer For The Burning Starring Gael Garcia Bernal

Revenge is a dish  best served cold and in the UK trailer for The Burning starring Gael García Bernal with a giant machete in one hand and rifle in the other, he only has one thing on his mind!

Called El Ardor the Pablo Fendrik‘s Cannes (2014) is now coming to UK thank’s to Arrow Films and we’ll see a side of Bernal we haven’t seen before a violent one,a tale of unfolding revenge.

Kai (Garcia Bernal), a mysterious and mystical figure, emerges from the Argentinean rainforest to rescue Vania (Alice Braga), who has been kidnapped by mercenaries. Together they face off against the men who have ruthlessly murdered Vania’s father, a poor farmer, and taken over his land.

Part love story, part western, Fendrik turns this latter genre on its head as so-called civilisation becomes a destructive force over both the rich jungle setting and the communities living within it.

With the recent surge of Western genre should help the buzz should helping The Burning  get a decent turn at the box. Bernal is one of the best Spanish speaking actors in the industry and usually the films he has been in are solid including his most recent Rosewater.

The Burning is set to open in UK&Irish cinemas on 19 June.
