Rachel Bloom And Patrick Brammall Join The Devil Wears Prada 2
In an exclusive from Deadline, it has been confirmed that both Rachel Bloom (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and Patrick Brammall (Colin From Accounts) have joined the cast for the highly anticipated sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Production on the movie started earlier this month, where it was also announced that Kenneth Branagh would be joining the likes of Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, who return from the original.
Nothing has been revealed yet about Bloom and Brammallโs roles. The cast at this time also includes Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak, Conrad Ricamora, Caleb Hearon, Helen J Shen, Pauline Chalamet and Simone Ashley.
The sequel will also see director David Frankel and producer Wendy Finerman returning to their respective roles, as well as writer Aline Bros McKenna, who will be reuniting Bloom for this project as they both co-created Crazy Ex-Girlfriend together.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 will follow Streepโs Miranda Priestly, who is squaring off against her former assistant Emily Charlton, played by Emily Blunt, who is now a big-time executive in fashion circles, to compete for ad revenue.
Bloom is best known for the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, along with appearances in Your Place or Mine,ย The School for Good and Evil, iZombie and the recent Paramount+ reboot ofย Frasier. Brammall, on the other hand, came to prominence with the hit Australian comedy series, Colin From Accounts, which he co-created and stars in.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set for cinemas on May 1st, 2026.
