Peter Berg’s Patriots Day Unveils Poster and Synopsis

Nothing wrong with been proud of your country, what it’s done and achieved. This week Americans celebrated Independence Day but as we know some Americans love to have that special day every day like Peter Berg. We can’t deny he’s a proud American and he likes to celebrate that patriotism in his films proudly like in his next film Deepwater Horizon (out 30th September) portrays the true story of brave men and women involved in USA worst Oil Spill. Lionsgate Films today want to tease us with Berg’s follwing film Patriots Day which stars his regular Mark Whalberg with a new poster and film’s synopsis…

Synopsis
PATRIOTS DAY is an account of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the everyday heroes who inspired the world in the extraordinary hours that followed.

In the aftermath of an unspeakable act of terror, Police Sergeant TOMMY SAUNDERS (Mark Wahlberg) joins courageous survivors, first responders and investigators in a race against the clock to hunt down the bombers before they strike again.

Weaving together the stories of Special Agent RICHARD DESLAURIERS (Kevin Bacon), Police Commissioner ED DAVIS (John Goodman), Sergeant JEFFREY PUGLIESE (J.K. Simmons) and nurse CAROL SAUNDERS (Michelle Monaghan) this visceral and unflinching chronicle captures the suspense of the most sophisticated manhunt in law enforcement history and the strength of the people of Boston.

Berg is set to continue you his filmography of unsung heroes. From Lone Survivor, Deepwater Horizon with Battleship in a way his salute to American soldiers despite  the film been a bit of an disaster. His TV career seems to be stronger but he is gaining momentum in his cinematic career. We might be the other side of the Atlantic Ocean but Boston Marathon was one of those attacks that got massive TV coverage in UK. You could say it changed the security of USA and how easy it is for terrorists to strike no matter how secure you think.
