Passion Has A New Name In Full Emilia Pérez Trailer

Women looking for happiness and female ran Mexican cartel, passion has a new name in new Trailer for Emilia Pérez.

Netflix release the full promo French filmmaker Jacques Audiard (A Prophet, The Sister Brothers) crime comedy with a musical twist. The film made it’s world premiere back at Cannes Film Festival picking up a couple of awards and creating some exciting buzz.

The film stars Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofía Gascón, Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz, Edgar Ramírez, Mark Ivanir. Emilia Pérez is set in Mexico City and we follow cartel leader Emilia who enlists a lawyer to help fake her death. All she wants to do is live the life she wants and her journey seen through song and dance.

Apparently there was a a teaser trailer which teased the non musical side of the film. The latest trailer pushes the musical side and teasing an unique film in the making.

From renegade auteur Jacques Audiard comes Emilia Pérez, an audacious fever dream that defies genres and expectations. Through liberating song and dance and bold visuals, this odyssey follows the journey of four remarkable women in Mexico, each pursuing their own happiness. The fearsome cartel leader Emilia (Karla Sofía Gascón) enlists Rita (Zoe Saldaña), an unappreciated lawyer stuck in a dead-end job, to help fake her death so that Emilia can finally live authentically as her true self. Written and directed by Audiard (Rust and Bone, A Prophet), the double Cannes-winning film also stars Selena Gomez, Adriana Paz, and Edgar Ramírez.

Emilia Pérez will be shown in select UK and Irish cinemas from 25th October. It will be debuting on Neflix  from 13th November in UK, Ireland, Canada and U.S.A .
