Ozon, Penn, Kurzel, Anderson Films Heading To Cannes 2021 Festival!
The Premium Film Festival Finally Set To Return With Big Name Auteurs!

After the Pandemic that left majority of life at a standstill, 2021 will see the return of the Cannes Film Festival. Today from the luxurious French Riviera the Festival announced 2021 (74th) line-up with some big well known Auteurs bring happiness back to our lives….Leos Carax, Wes Anderson, Justin Kurzel, Sean Penn, Paul Verhoeven and François Ozon to name a few.
Festival director Thierry Frémaux announced the news at a very relaxed press conference. Over 2,500 where under consideration for the line up and we wonder if that included those films from 2020? The long awaited debuts for Leos Carax’s Annette (Opening Gala), Paul Verhoeven‘s Benedetta and Wes Anderson‘s French Dispatch ready to be seen for the first time.
All three of these films are all part of the Competition Strand which also includes Apichatpong Weerasethakul‘s English language debut Memoria starring Tilda Swinton. Justin Kurzel‘s Nitram, Mia Hansen-Love’s Bergman Island and Sean Baker‘s Red Rocket.
Whilst cinemas here in the UK as well as France are unable to open with 100% capacities. If you are attending Cannes, it will be 100% Capacity. The catch all delegates must a vaccination certificate or a negative PCR test taken 48 hours before the screening.
2021 Cannes Film Festival (The 74th Festival de Cannes) will will take place between 6th July until 17th July.
