New Over Your Dead Body Trailer Drops

IFC Films has just released a second trailer for the upcoming horror-comedy, Over Your Dead Body, starring Ready or Not 2’s Samara Weaving and Shrinking’s Jason Segel. The film is directed by Jorma Taccone, credited for the Saturday Night Live biographical comedy-drama, who works from a script penned by Nick Kocher and Brian McElhaney, as an English-language remake of the Norwegian horror-comedy I onde dager (translates to In bad days with the film also being known as The Trip) by Tommy Wirkola.

Taccone’s take on Wirkola’s story reads as “a couple attempting to reconnect while on vacation, only to find out they have plans to kill each other.”

Additional cast members include Paul Guilfoyle, Keith Jardine, Timothy Olyphant, and Juliette Lewis.

Synopsis | When miserable couple Dan and Lisa retreat to a remote cabin for a romantic reset, each arrives with a secret plan to murder the other. Their carefully plotted traps and counterplots quickly unravel when a dangerous crew crashes the weekend with plans of their own. As the toxic getaway spirals into chaotic carnage, Dan and Lisa must survive the intruders, each other, and figure out if they want to save their marriage or survive it.

Kelly McCormick, David Leitch, Aram Tertzakian, Nick Spicer, Guy Danella, and Lee Kim are all credited as producers alongside 87North.

Over Your Dead Body hits U.S cinemas on the 24th April. Prime Video will release the film in the UK with premiere date still to be announced.
