Last week The Bafta’s unveiled their 2024 Nominations, this week it’s the turn of The Oscars. Christopher Nolan‘s  epic Oppenheimer leads the nominees for 96th Academy Awards with 13 nominations.

It looks a carbon copy of last weeks nominations  which the film also received 13 nods. Yorgos Lanthimos‘s Poor Things who gained 11 nods and once again 11 for The Oscars nominations.

History has shown, films that dominate, don’t always win everything they are in the running for.  Behind those films is Martin Scorsese‘s Killers Of The Flower Moon with 10 and Barbie with 8.

The aforementioned films are all in line for Best Film award. They will compete against American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Maestro, Past Lives and The Zone of Interest.

Despite earning 8 Nods for Barbie, Greta Gerwig‘s film has had a few surprising snubs. Gerwig herself has missed out in the Best Director category with Margot Robbie in Best Actress. America Ferrara has received an nomination in Best Supporting Actress category.

Other surprises include Leonardo DiCaprio in Best Actor who some expected the Oscar winner to be on the list. Lily Gladstone is however made the Best Actress list, with German Actress Sandra Huller hasn’t for Anatomy Of A Fall.

The full list of 2024 Oscar Nominations are below.

Jimmy Kimmel will host The Oscars event on 10th March (11th in the UK & Ireland).
