One Heist To Connect Them All In New Crime 101 Trailer
There’s one heist to connect them all and this is relevant in the new UK trailer for Brad Layton’s upcoming crime thriller Crime 101.
Chris Hemsworth stars alongside the impressive line-up of Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, with Nick Nolte and Halle Berry.
It’s been a while since Steven Soderbergh‘s Ocean’s Eleven heist thriller, but this one seems to ooze similar style. Based on Don Winslow‘s novella, Crime 101 follows Davis (Hemsworth), an elusive thief who has pulled off a series of jewel robberies. He wants to pull one final job and go out in style but when he crosses paths with a fellow thief, the stakes go sky-high.
Synopsis | Set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles, Crime 101 weaves the tale of an elusive jewel thief (Chris Hemsworth) whose string of heists along the 101 freeway have mystified police. When he eyes the score of a lifetime, his path crosses that of a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry) who is facing her own crossroads. Convinced he has found a pattern, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) is closing in, raising the stakes even higher. As the heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are faced with life-defining choicesโand the realization that there can be no turning back.
Adapted from Don Winslowโs acclaimed novella of the same name, the film is written and directed by Bart Layton (American Animals, The Imposter). Barry Keoghan, Monica Barbaro, Corey Hawkins, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Nick Nolte round out the cast.
Crime 101 is set for a February 13th release in UK and Irish cinemas.
