Official Trailer For George Lucas RED TAILS

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away a certain George Lucas brought us the iconic Sci-fi movie franchise in cinematic history Star Wars Saga, throw in Indiana Jones you couldn’t really see Lucas do anything more than bring out some other mutated version of Star Wars. So lets roll onto present day and guess what we have a new George Lucas produced movie thats not Star Wars!!! Hail the official trailer of RED TAILS.
Directed by Anthony Hemmingway the true story of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first all-black African-American combat squadron who fought in World War II. The trailer does look fantastic plenty of great action scenes but it looks like the trailer has missed the messege of the film even with the inspirational speech by Terrence Howard’s character. No one is denying the fighting skills of these brave men, the movie is about black men overcome adversity, Prejudice, racism during the War and actually be recognised for their courage as well as Tuskegee Airmen’s part in the War Effort. This is just the first trailer and hopefully we will see a little more drama to show the struggle the men had to put up with, I have faith in Hemmingway to put things right bring a bit of intense drama we saw in his episode of Treme, The Wire. After years of development hell, production delays I think we can say we are just relieved to see a trailer as well as a release date of January 20th 2012 be it only USA (UK date to be confirmed).
The movie stars Cuba Gooding Jr (in a movie that’ not going direct to DVD Yipee!), Terrence Howard, Bryan Cranston, Brandon T. Jackson, Daniela Ruah, Bryan Cranston, Nate Parker, David Oyelowo, Method Man, Ryan Early, Elijah Kelley, Robert Kazinsky.
1944. As the war in Europe continues to take its toll on Allied forces, the Pentagon brass has no recourse but to consider unorthodox options – including the untried and untested African-American pilots of the experimental Tuskegee training program. Just as the young Tuskegee men are on the brink of being shut down and shipped back home, they are given the ultimate chance to show their courage. Against all the odds, with something to prove and everything to lose, these intrepid young airmen take to the skies to fight for their country – and the fate of the free world.
