New UK Trailer For Nomadland Teases Certain Oscar Contender

One thing we learned very much in 2020 many people lost everything all thanks to Covid, those in power have very little empathy probably none to be frank. Chloe Zhao‘s Nomadland Frances McDormand’s character could easily be the representation of those people who have lost everything trying to rebuild their life.

Tonight Searchlight Pictures have released the second official UK Trailer . Teasing this award winning film looks an certain to be a big Oscar contender.

In Nomadland,  we find ourselves just after an economic recession, Fern (McDormand) has lost everything. She decides to pack what possessions she has left leaving conventional life and head into the American West to live an nomadic life.

This trailer certainly showcases the film’s tone and how profound as well as emotive the film is going to be. Zhao is considered one of the best, independent/arthouse directors around and no wonder  Marvel picked her up to direct Eternals. This film is a reminder she hasn’t forgotten her arthouse roots….

Following the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, Fern (Frances McDormand) packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad. The third feature film from director Chloé Zhao, NOMADLAND features real nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells as Fern’s mentors and comrades in her exploration through the vast landscape of the American West.

The film also stars Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells. 

Nomadland now has a new UK release date of 19th February 2021 (originally 1st January 2021).
