Anthony Mackie Is The Ultimate Soldier In Outside The Wire Trailer
Netflix have certainly found their groove when it comes to action flicks and next month they will release their latest, Outside The Wire. Tonight the streaming giants have released the film’s Official Trailer that highlights Anthony Mackie is the ‘ultimate Soldier’!
The film is directed by Swedish filmmaker Mikael Håfström (1408, Shanghai, The Rite, Escape Plan), who is no stranger to action genre.
In this sci-fi action thriller we find ourselves in the near future. Mackie plays Leo an indestructible android solider who must search for an doomsday device in a deadly militarized zone. He must find the device before insurgents get their hands on it and he has help from disgraced drone pilot Harp (Damson Idris).
This actually looks pretty good, gritty very stylish. Action genre can be tricky to get right without getting too generic, this films seems get the right balance. The action scenes look potentially big and keeping the ‘insurgents’ as non descript is a good move. Some engage stuff going on here, potentially this looks a solid film…
Set in the future, Harp (Damson Idris), a drone pilot, is sent into a deadly militarized zone where he finds himself working for Leo (Anthony Mackie), an android officer, tasked to locate a doomsday device before the insurgents do. Outside the Wire is directed by Mikael Håfström.
The film also stars Enzo Cilenti, Emily Beecham, Michael Kelly, and Pilou Asbæk.
Outside The Wire is set to launch on Netflix from 15th January 2021.
