Searchlight Pictures have released the UK Trailer for Chloé Zhao‘s Nomadland. Starring Frances McDormand, a woman who loses everything and goes west!
Chloé Zhao has been taking small steps into big arena since her breakthrough film The Rider. She does have her first big film next year with Marvel’s Eternals, before then she has this one.
In this film we find ourselves just after an economic recession, Fern (McDormand) has lost everything. She decides to pack what possessions she has left leaving conventional life and head into the American West to live an nomadic life.
The film is based on the 2017 Jessica Bruder non-fiction novel Nomadland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century. The book’s story all about the real-life nomads wandering the American West and to give the film the authentic feel Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells all real-life nomads star in the film.

Searchlight Pictures haven’t confirmed the UK and Irish cinema release date for Nomadland. However the confirmed U.S release date is 4th December, don’t be surprise if it’s the same date. The film will also be playing at BFI London Film Festival on 16th & 17th October [more details here].
