New trailer for unusual musical London Road
London Road has been adapted for the big screen from the critically acclaimed stage musical of the same name, and stars the original cast with the additions of Olivia Coleman, Anita Dobson, and Tom Hardy.
The rather unusual musical uses real interviews with the people of Ipswich and documents their reactions after five prostitutes were murdered in their town in 2006. Not the usual subject matter for a musical! The film focuses on the residents of London Road who found themselves right in the middle of the tragic events, and their struggle to come together as a community in face of such devastating circumstances.
London Road premieres on 9th June via NT Live and is on general release on 12th June.
