We’re loving the mystery shrouding Darren Aronofsky‘s upcoming Psychological Horror Thriller Mother! What we know is Jennifer Lawerence is our protagonist, Javier Bardem is her husband but who is Michelle Pfieffer?
In a new intense clip entitled ‘Greetings’ which we see Lawerence is confronted by Pfieffer’s character and both have a frank chat about Motherhood. “Oh, you do want them,” Lawerence is asked. Does this suggest Pfieffer (who plays the wife of Ed Harris character) could be a ‘mother-in-law’ or just simply Lawerence worst nightmare?
With Darren Aronofsky keeping the full plotline of his upcoming movie to himself releasing only minimal info has cooked up some interesting scenarios. One potential spoiler we read online was Mother! was a home invasion movie with vampires! It sounds absolutely crazy, but we’ve seen from the footage, the idea isn’t that nuts. Apologies if we have revealed a spoiler!

In Mother! the focus is all about a couple (Jennifer Lawerence and Javier Bardem) who live a quaint life out in the tranquil countryside. That peaceful existence is interrupted when they have uninvited guests that test their relationship.
Mother! is due to make its world Premiere at Venice Film Festival before Paramount Pictures release it in the UK, Ireland and the USA from 15th September. The movie also stars Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Brian Gleeson, and Kristen Wiig.
