New Street Fighter Trailer Teases ‘A Classic Backstory’

Next month we’ll get ready ‘fight!’ in cinemas when Street Fighter is unleashed, Today Paramount Pictures bring a smiles to our faces with a new UK Trailer that teases ‘a classic backstory’ from the franchise.

The trailer was officially launched in Tokyo Japan in what looked to be Shibuya. The birthplace of the video game diving into the heart of the story with a backstory between friends and rivals Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo). We also get a better look at the rest of the warriors, but who will get to the final and win?

The rest of the cast includes Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Eric André as Don Sauvage, Orville Peck as Vega, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Mel Jarnson as Cammy, Rayna Vallandingham as Juli and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson as Balrog.

The set up looks fantastic, I was one of those teens in video game arcades playing this game. 30 plus years on myself and similar aged geeks are smiling so much as the nostalgia levels are exciting. Synopsis | Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. Helmed by director Kitao Sakurai, Street Fighter is set to bring the battle from the arcade to the big screen with Hadoukens, roundhouses, and all your favorite characters

Street Fighter will arrive in UK, Irish and U.S cinemas from 16th October…Hadouken!
