Now that myth has its own film coming in August we get one more UK Trailer. A trailer that shows teens don’t learn and Summon the legend!
We have to go back to January for the film’s first Trailer that was making us think Sony Pictures had different plans for the film. Now we have this new promo that digs deeper into that myth and story of the girls who summon the ‘man’. Compared to the previous trailer which plays more on the legend in a promo was a little like The Ring video that kills its victims!
There’s been no particular reason given for the delayed release date (originally 4th May). One rumour was the film was up for auction to other distributors, if it was true not a great sign for the film. If anything it was probably the usual scheduling conflicts. When the first trailer was released, it received much criticism when in 2012 in Wisconsin, USA 2 twelve-year-old girls stabbed their victim 19 times. They said The Slender Man told them to do it and the victim’s father accused Sony of polarising urban legend.
