Tomorrow the first of the Spring/Summer superhero blockbusters THOR will hit cinemas nationwide and its a great year (and year to come) if your a big comicbook fan with a barrelload of movies coming to a screen near you. Yesterday Joss Wheadon annouced the Avengers Movie has started shooting based on a co-written script from Shane Black who also happens to be Iron Man 3’s next director. Now lets have a look at 2 of the summer’s other comic book movies CAPTAIN AMERICA:FIRST AVENGER and X-MEN:FIRST CLASS.
As part of there 2011 Summer Movie Preview Week MTV have released some new images from 11 of the movies we can look forward too (or simply hide from). Below is a new image of Steve Rodgers (aka Chris Evans) Captain America who also revealed to MTV he has a new uniform in the Avengers Movie –
“Yeah, [I have] a new costume. It’s awesome… it’s really cool. And I was worried because I started to get really attached to the old one. It’s not that easy to move in, but I started really liking it. Then the first time I tried the new one on I was like ‘Aww, I miss the old one.’
“But then they started going [through changes with it].. it was in the early stages.. but I just came back from Albuquerque for camera tests with the new suit and it’s pretty rad.”

X-MEN:FIRST CLASS is having a bit of a nightmare in the marketing front after a series of poor posters which to be honest the fan made posters where alot more professional, so they are in the need of some better marketing or things can go pearshape when the movie arrives. Below is another image from MTV Summer movie preview a image that looks ok but we do need some better posters guys!
X-MEN:FIRST CLASS is directed by Mattheww Vaughn with Bryan Singer producing and stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, January Jones, Jason Flemyng,Nicholas Hoult, Zoe Kravitz,Ed Gathegi, Oliver Platt, and Kevin Bacon.
