Never Mess With A Girl With Telekinetics, Watch Carrie Teaser Trailer
No matter how much campaigning bullying sadly is still around and will be around for a long time and it was the basis of Stephen King’s first novel to be adapted for the big Carrie by Brian De Palma. 36 years on the girl with the Kinetic powers is returning to the big screen and the first official trailer and poster for remake of Carrie have arrived online.
Sissy Spacek played the original Carrie and for the new version its Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick Ass, Dark Shadow) who has the task of playing Carrie White a troubled young loner who finds it hard to socialise with people her own age even make friends. Carrie’s upbringing is controlled by her religiously fanatical mother (Julianne Moore) and as Carrie blossoms into a young woman she starts to gain telekinetic powers whom her mother sees as the work of the devil.
The trailer below is simply a tease it starts with the camera pans over a typical Americana town at night as the camera pans down into the street view we see the buildings even the streets ablaze with people talking attempting to figure out what happened. At the end we see Carrie standing in the middle of the street terrified covered in blood, if you have read the book or seen the film you’ll have an idea of the scene.
Carrie is an iconic horror chiller and Chloe Grace Moretz has a lot to live up to and looks to embracing the role some passion, also Julianne Moore’s role will be in the spotlight too as it’s Piper Laurie who played the original matriarch gave a terrifying performance. It’s a shame when films are been remade especially ones of popular or cult status as it pressurizes the new version any time to breathe or mature into their own individual film.
Carrie is due to be released in UK&Ireland April 5th, 2013 and also stars Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Gabriella Wilde, and Alex Russell.
A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
