I’ve not read the books the series is based on, how close visually and plot wise this will be hard to say. Does have an intriguing plot , that’s complex , dark and even political, dangerous universe.
The main protagonist is Alina (Mei Li) a lowly soldier and mapmaker who suddenly finds she has great powers. She joins a army of people of similar powers.
