Netflix Announce Wednesday Season 2 Now In Production

Netflix have confirmed production on Season 2 of Wednesday has  kicked off .  Also unveiled  is who’ll be in the cast (returning and new) with Jenny Ortega back as our kooky protagonist Wednesday Addams.

Returning Cast Members Upped to Series Regulars will be  Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo. The new cast joining as regulars include Steve Buscemi , Billie Piper , Evie Templeton , Owen Painter  and Noah Taylor.

A host of New Guest Stars also been announced with  Christopher Lloyd (Addams Family, Back to the Future), Joanna Lumley (Fool Me Once, Absolutely Fabulous), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld, Crash), Frances O’Connor (The Missing, The Twelve), Haley Joel Osment (The Kominsky Method, Somebody I Used to Know), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries, Scream) and Joonas Suotamo.

The streaming giants have also released the now traditional announcement promo. Confirming the returning and new cast members as the Addams Family‘s Thing delivers those scripts. Thing also takes centre stage on Netflix’s newly launched Tik Tok channel, aka “Thing Tok,”…

The series is a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the murder mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.

One big thing missing fans of the show will notice Percy Hynes White, who played psychic student Xavier Thorpe. Due to controversary and allegations made against the actor he has been removed from the cast.

During a interview with Ortega promised Season 2 of the show will deliver more action and horror. With each new episode feeling more like a feature film than something episodic. That will delight fans of the show as long as the humour will be there too.
