Netflix Announce November Release For Train Dreams
Netflix have announced their Sundance Film Festival 2025 pick up Train Dreams is set for November release. Not just on the streaming service but also a limited cinema release, a prime time release for Oscars season.
The film stars Joel Edgerton and Felicity Jones with Clint Bentley directing. Bentley’s feature debut was 2021 horse racing drama Jockey with Clifton Collins Jr with Greg Kwedar on script. Kwedar would goto to direct Oscar nominated Sing Sing which Bentley wrote the script.
Train Dreams is based on Denis Johnson‘s book of the same name about an ordinary man who was a railroad worker. After he marries, ha a family his life takes an unexpected turn and struggles with his new life.
Sine it’s premiere earlier this year, the film has garnered excellent reviews. Earning a near perfect score at Rotten Tomatoes (97%). Along with the release news, we do get a new Image from the film, which has Joel Edgerton standing on a remote train track.

Based on Denis Johnson’s beloved novella, Train Dreams is the moving portrait of Robert Grainier, a logger and railroad worker who leads a life of unexpected depth and beauty in the rapidly-changing America of the early 20th Century.
The rest of the cast for this one includes Nathaniel Arcand, Clifton Collins Jr., John Diehl, Paul Schneider, with Kerry Condon and William H. Macy. Narrated by Will Patton.
Train Dreams is set for limited cinema release in November, including UK and Ireland. Netflix will debut the film on the streamer from 21st November.
