“My God Jim!!!” – Star Trek Celebrates 45 Years With A Infographic

Stardate September 8th, 1966, a certain Gene Rodenberry captivated tv audiences around the world transporting them to strange new planets, new beings, boldly going were no man has gone before we are talking about none other than Star Trek.

for 45 years now Star Trek is an loved institution that spanned 6 different television series, 11 films, legendary alien enemies such as Borg, Klingon, Romulans to name a few. 6 years ago was the last time Star Trek graced a television set with a new series and with the recent JJ Abrams reboot of the series on the big screen making Trek contemporary aswell pay homage to its roots, its about time someone gave those dilithium Crystals a boost, so we can live long and prosper to travel to strange new worlds in a new tv series be it reboot or alternative storyline?!

To celebrate yesterdays anniversary  Space.com have created a spanking new infographic  detailing why Star Trek no matter how sad people think the franchise is, it should be with us forever to make sure Starfleet survives for many more generations to come!
