Mommy ‘Loves You’ In First Evil Dead Rise Trailers

Deadites of the world unite, Mommy ‘loves you’ in the first UK Trailer for Evil Dead Rise.

We’ve been waiting a while for this official promo and Studiocanal have unleashed the beast. Not one but two trailers! Lee Cronin (Hole In The Ground) directs this one, the long awaited follow up to Fede Alvarez‘s 2013 Evil Dead remake. At the time that film got a mixed response, over time  (10 years to be precise) horror fans are now appreciating  it.

This sequel is coming with the promise it will be the ‘scariest’ of the classic franchise. Deadites, chainsaws, gore, that certain ungodly book! These demons have their serious poker faces on not the Sam Raimi horror comedy. Ironically is onboard with franchise co-creator Rob Tappert. The groovy maestro himself Bruce Campbell is helping out on producer duties!

In this mother of all horrors, estranged sisters reunite in Los Angeles. That reunion is cut short all thanks to the demons known as the Deadites. Forcing the sisters and their family into a battle of survival and a hellish version of otherhood ever imaginable.

Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, EVIL DEAD RISE tells the twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

The film stars Gabrielle Echols, Nell Fisher, Lilly Sullivan, Morgan Davies, and Alyssa Sutherland.

Evil Dead Rise  UK and Irish cinema release date will still be 21st April. It will also be the same date in the U.S which Warner Bros is releasing the film Stateside.
