First Official Look At He-Man’s Power Sword From Masters Of The Universe Reboot

Mattel and Amazon MGM Studios have revealed the first look at the Power Sword – and a glimpse of He-Man – from their upcoming reboot of Masters Of The Universe.Â
After years of false starts, the new film is now shooting in London, the new He-Man film stars Nicholas Galitzine (The Idea Of You) in the title role alongside Jared Leto as Skeletor, Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-at-Arms, Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn, Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress of Grayskull, James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm/Fisto, Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw, Hafthor Bjornsson as Goat Man, Kojo Attah as Tri-Klops,  Jon Xue Zhang as Ram-Man, Sasheer Zamata as Suzie, and Christian Vunipola as Hussein.
Travis Knight (Kubo & The Two Strings, Bumblebee) directs the film from a script by Kubo scribe Chris Butler. Initial drafts were penned by David Callaham, Aaron Nee, and Adam Nee for the movie that hails from Escape Artists and Mattel Films. The previous big-screen adaptation of the franchise was in 1987’s film starring Dolph Lundgren, Frank Langella, and Courtney Cox., which has just been released on Blu-ray in the UK for the first time for everyone to enjoy once again with an array of ace special features.
Masters Of The Universe is due in cinemas on June 5th, 2026.
