When your based the other side of the Atlantic from USA it gets really excited when we hear great things about potential films, even more frustrating when you can’t see what all the fuss is about. Back in July at Comic-Con San Diego Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright intrigued hundreds of lucky fans with the test footage for his long anticipated Ant Man film creating such a buzz for the project. Now Collider  are reporting that Marvel may release that footage which if it lives upto the buzz will give the project a fantastic boost. Via their online partners   Omelete  Marvel executive Victoria Alonso told them:

โ€œWhat we showed at Comic-Con was a work in progress.  Weโ€™re working on finishing it, and I think you might see it.  Not sure where, but we always listen to the fans.  And if the fans demand it we make sure they get it.  I donโ€™t know if we are going to post it online, but I donโ€™t have (any reason) to believe we may not.โ€

she also went onto to say  that Wright will direct the film  and optimistic it will be after The World’s End with rumours suggesting as early as next year for an 2014 release date, though Wright might have another film in line after The World’s End. Alonso also went onto to address the rumour about Viggo Mortensen playing Dr.Strange, the Master of Mystic Arts in the upcoming Thor:The Dark World

โ€œWe would love to work with Viggo Mortensen.  Iโ€™ve been trying that for years.  But I donโ€™t know if Viggo is even acting anymore.  I thought he wasnโ€™t acting anymore.  It would be great to work with him in the future, but we donโ€™t have him signed, no.โ€

Is it a total dial but does the actor who has had as many retirement claims as Steven Soderbergh as well chosing his parts carefully really want to sign up to one of those 500 film deals?
