Lionsgate Films Willing To Film More Twilight Saga If Stephanie Meyer’s Writes Fifth Book

Just when the general public were about to sleep easy at night knowing that The Twilight Saga will be no more end of this year however Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer has dropped a big hint which will will bring rejoice to Twihards worldwide. For anyone who didn’t know Lionsgate bought Summit Entertainment over a few weeks back or as people are saying Lionsgate have bout The Twilight Saga franchise and there CEO has said he want’to do more Twilight. Feltheimer didn’t say the form of the continuation of the series had to be on the big screen it could be television, but it’s all down to Stephanie Meyer

In that statement which was made at Lionsgate press conference on the company’s third quarter of 2011 report Rob Friedman the companies Co-Chair  said:

“If she (Meyer) wishes to do it, weโ€™ll be there to support her.”

When we talked about possible new Harry Potter books JK Rowling was on the ball really quickly saying no more however it is a slightly different story for The Twilight Scribe. Stephanie Meyer has never openly said she was giving up on the franchise as 3 years ago she left the door open to further book(s)…

“I am a little burned out on vampires right now. I think I need a little break. I might go spend some time with my aliens. I might do something completely different. Iโ€™ve got to cleanse the palate. I may come back to it. I did envision it as a longer series. But I wrapped Breaking Dawn in a way that I felt satisfied with, so if that moment didnโ€™t come, Iโ€™d be okay.”

Just like any in demand writer the need to recharge get the perspective in place to take their next step forward. Twihard fans will know she did start a fifth book which was a re write of Twilight Saga book one but from Edward Cullen’s point of view which she stopped writing when the already made 12 chapters found there way online. Stephanie Meyer hasn’t said she’s giving up on the book  but maybe when that book which is called Midnight Sun is at the back of fans minds…

“If I tried to write Midnight Sun now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the Cullens would die, which wouldnโ€™t dovetail too well with the original story. In any case, I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on Midnight Sun, and so it is on hold indefinitely.”

With Dvd/BluRay release of Breaking Dawn Part one only a few weeks away Lionsgate have announced the first trailer for Breaking Dawn Part 2 will play in the previews in front of The Hunger Games on March 23rd. This is fantastic news for Twihards however this is only official for the American release but as the Hunger Games is out the same and is a Lionsgate film too you can bet the trailer will be premier here in UK&Ireland too!
