Kevin MacDonald’s Whitney Trailer Promises More Insight Into Tragic Singer

Whitney (2018)

They say when you wait forever for one bus when one arrives just right behind it is another. Same can be said about films and documentaries like Whitney.
After the recent Whitney: Can I Be Me directed by Nick Broomfield, Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin MacDonald will bring his vision of the story of Whitney Houston. It’s tragic sad story, compared to the other films on the musical diva, this one is officially supported by the star’s estate.

Ahead of its cinematic release later this Summer, Altitude Film Entertainment has created a brand newย  UK Trailer. The film promises unreleased songs, rare footage and various footage that will show the rarely seen personal side of Whitney Houston.

WHITNEY is the intimate, definitive account of the superstarโ€™s life and career, authored by renowned Oscarยฎ-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald. The only film officially supported by the late singerโ€™s estate, it includes previously unreleased recordings, rare never-before-seen footage and live performances recorded by Houston at various stages of her life, as well as original studio recordings and acapellas of some of the late singerโ€™s greatest hits. Because the filmmakers had access to vast archives of the Houston estate, the film also contains personal home movie footage that has never been seen publicly before, offering a rare glimpse of Whitneyโ€™s life behind-the-scenes as known only to her closest relatives, friends and collaborators.

Whitney will arrive in UK and Irish Cinemas from 6th July.
