Keke Palmer & Demi Moore Star In I Love Boosters Trailer

Acclaimed filmmaker Boots Riley returns with another unique film.

Neon has just dropped the trailer for their upcoming release, I Love Boosters, by writer and director Boots Riley, starringย Nope’sย Keke Palmerย andย The Substance’sย Demi Moore. The film has been described as a sci-fi and comedy hybrid centred on a gang of shoplifters.

The official synopsis tells us Riley’s film focuses on “A group of shoplifters” who “take aim at a cutthroat fashion maven.” The film has just stepped off a 12th March South by Southwest Film & TV Festival debut and has already garnered favourable responses. Additional cast members include Naomi Ackie,ย Taylour Paige,ย Poppy Liu,ย Eiza Gonzรกlez,ย LaKeith Stanfield,ย Will Poulter andย Don Cheadle.

Producers are listed as Aaron Ryder, Andrew Swet, Allison Rose Carter and John Reed, with production being shared between Savage Rose Films, Annapurna Pictures and Ryder Picture Company. Neon shares distribution rights with Focus Features and Universal Pictures.

Riley also has filmmaking credits on his 2018 debut, the sci-fi black comedy Sorry to Bother You, and the 2023 surreal comedy miniseries I’m a Virgo. Palmer has recently appeared in Anziz Ansari’s 2025 debut,ย Good Fortune, and Tim Story’s heist comedy,ย The Pickup.

Moore recently made an appearance in the 2024 documentary Bratsย by Andrew McCarthy as an inspection into Moore’s days as a growing child star in the Brat Pack back in the 1980s. She also received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for 2024’s body horror The Substance by Coralie Fargeat, which was her first Academy Award nod after a 47-year-long film career.

I Love Boosters hits cinemas on May 22nd.
