Katniss Shines In New The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Posters

We maybe 8 months away from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire arriving on the big screens but the marketing campaign has truly started taking us a step closer to the highly anticipated sequel. Yesterday we got a look at the first character posters of Effie Trinkett (Elizabeth Banks), Caesar Flickerman (Stanley Tucci) tonight we have 4 more posters with the heroine of the 74th Games leading the light Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence).

Along with Katniss we meet Cinna (Lenny Kravitz), Haymitch (Woody Harrelson), and very first look at a new character Beetee (Jeffrey Wright) a past victor from District 3 who used his electronic skills to win the games. The question is as we know the posters are ‘propaganda’ pieces used by Panem, Capitol City to show ‘vanity and diversity’ , so why is Katniss the only one standing so far in the posters we’ve seen? Is just because of the extravagant wedding like dress she is wearing (Panem taking advantage of Katniss/Peeta’s ‘public’  romance) or is it a symbol that a revolution maybe on the cards? All will be revealed on November 22nd! So will Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) be standing as well wearing wedding style attire? I’m sure we’ll find out soon!

Synopsis

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts.  Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
