Kathryn Bigelow’s Cult Point Break Getting A 4K Upgrade

Point Break coming to 4K in August

Icon Film Distribution are giving the 1991 Kathryn Bigelow cult action thriller Point Break a 4K upgrade in August.

The film starred Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze. Point Break sees Reeves as ex footballer turned FBI agent Johnny Utah who is assigned to tracked down a group of bank robbers. The thieves are also surfers lead by Bodhi (Swayze) whom Johnny befriends and infiltrates the group. Leading to Johnny to pick between friendship or duty also starring Gary Busey, Lori Petty, John C. McGinley.

The two-disc 4K UHD special collector’s edition, packaged with a premium O-ring, contains the feature in 4K and Blu-ray, plus an exclusive, limited-edition poster and four art cards. Both this edition and a standalone Blu-ray release will include more than 45 minutes of bonus features.
