Julia Jackman’s 100 Nights Of Hero To Close The 2025 BFI London Film Festival

The BFI have announced their closing film for the 69th BFI London Film Festival and it’s to be the UK premiere of Julia Jackman’s film 100 NIGHTS OF HERO!

The 69th BFI London Film Festival (8th-19th October), in partnership with American Express, is excited to announce that this year’s Closing Night Gala will be the UK Premiere of Julia Jackman’s second film at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall on 19th October 2025. The film features an ensemble cast including Emma Corrin, Nicholas Galitzine, Maika Monroe, Amir El-Masry, Charli XCX, Richard E. Grant and Felicity Jones. Some of the cast are scheduled to attend the event.

A bold and beautiful fairytale based on Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel, the film follows Cherry, whose neglectful husband departs after placing a secret wager to test her fidelity, and her sharp-witted maid Hero as they fend off a dangerously seductive visitor.

Julia Jackman’s second feature marks a return to the BFI London Film Festival with her debut feature BONUS TRACK, premiering at the festival in 2023.

Director of 100 NIGHTS OF HERO, Julia Jackman, said: “The BFI London Film Festival has championed my work since my very early shorts, so bringing 100 Nights of Hero here is profoundly special. To return as the closing night gala is an incredible honour, and we can’t wait to share this film on our home turf with a London audience!”

Independent Film Company releases 100 NIGHTS OF HERO in the US on 5th December.
