Peter Claffey To Play Beast In Marvel Studios X-Men
According to reports online, Peter Claffey (A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms) has been cast to play Hank McCoy/Beast in the upcoming X-Men reboot for Marvel Studios.
This casting report has not been confirmed yet, but it follows initial rumours that started all the way back in April after Charles Melton dropped out in order to star in the Naruto live-action movie. The lead reporting comes from Knight Edge Media and Marvel Studios are yet to comment which means it’s also possible that this news might not necessarily be true. That doesn’t mean fans aren’t excited about the concept though!

The role has been previously played on screen by Kelsey Grammer, who returns for Avengers: Doomsday, as well as Nicholas Hoult as a younger version of the character. If the news is true, he will joining the rest of the confirmed cast including Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Asa Germann as Angel, and Maya Boyd as Storm. With Adam Driver also confirmed to be playing the main villain, Mister Sinister. It is widely believed that production is expected to begin sometime in early 2027.
Christopher Abbott (East Of Eden) recently told Entertainment Tonight that he’s still in the dark about his role as Professor X in the upcoming X-Men movie for Marvel. He told the outlet, “I haven’t read anything yet. Nothing, I’m not even being coy. It’s true, I haven’t read anything. But I’m excited to work with Jake Schreier, I think he’s a great director, and that cast is really good. I can’t wait. I love X-Men.”
X-Men is currently due to be released in cinemas on May 5th 2028.
