In Sleeping With Other Peoples Jake (Jason Sudeikis) and Lainey (Alison Brie) lose their virginity to each other in college. When their paths cross twelve years later in New York City, they realise they both have become serial cheaters. Bonding over their chronic commitment issues, they form a platonic friendship to support each other in their quests for healthy romantic relationships.

From the opening lines of this post we can clearly see that this comedy is not one to drag your great aunt Davina to unless she likes gynecological jokes. This film isn’t full of originality, but has the charm, well timed funny jokes and ones that will force you to wash your mouth out with soap.It has a big slice of stupidity in this one one probably thanks to having Will Ferrell and Adam McKay onboard. They have given the humor some rawness to go ahead and let rip without feeling contrived but also you do feel this has more dramatic tones than an all out comedy too, probably why this one might just work in the 6 point comedy test too.

Sleeping With Other People is directed by Bachelorette director Leslye Headland which boasts a great support cast full of indie credentials. Adam Scott, Natasha Lyonne, Jason Mantzoukas, Adam Brody, and Amanda Peet, all good enough to deliver strikes to our funnybones.
