Jamie Campbell Bower Joins The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
Prime Video have announced that Eddie Marsan and Jamie Campbell Bower have joined the cast of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power for the upcoming third season.
The new upcoming season is currently in pre-production and will begin filming this spring at the series’ new production home at Shepperton Studios in the UK. The studio have announced Bower will be a series regular, while Marsan will appear in a recurring role. What those exact characters both actors will play is still under wraps.
Campbell Bower is widely known for his intense performance as Henry Creel/Vecna in Stranger Things. He also made his film debut in Tim Burton’s gothic musical Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street in a leading role opposite Johnny Depp, Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter. He played the role of Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I and reprised that role in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The most recent was in Kevin Costner‘s epic Western Horizon: An American Saga Part 1.

Eddie Marsan’s extensive body of work spans over 20 years. Eddie has been a fierce champion of underprivileged and diverse representation in the film industry and was recently awarded an OBE. He recently starred in the Amy Winehouse biopic Back to Black, the Apple TV+ series Franklin opposite Michael Douglas, Netflix’s Supacell, the feature Firebrand alongside Jude Law and Alicia Vikander, the Brian Epstein biopic Midas Man, The Winter King with Toni Collette. Many will know Marsan from his  iconic role as Terry Donovan in Ray Donovan.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season Three was only recently given the thumbs up. Critically the critics have been enjoying Season 2 with fanbase a little more divided.
No word yet on when Prime Video hope to release Rings Of Power Season 3.
