James D’Arcy Plays ‘God’ In Dystopian Thriller LX 2048 UK Trailer

Humanity faces extinction in the near future  for LX 2048. Today Dazzler Media releases the UK trailer for the upcoming dystopian sci-fi thriller starring James D’Arcy, who seems to be playing ‘God’.

The film is directed by Israeli filmmaker Guy Moshe, his first film in ten years! That last film was the uniquely strange fantasy noir thriller Bunraku which starred Josh Harnett, Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson.

For this one, we find ourselves in the year 2048, mankind finds itself forced to live at home during the daytime. All thanks to how toxic and fragile the ozone layer has gotten. With depression so high, humanity has been described a drug called 001LithiumX, Adam (D’Arcy) refuses to take the drug. He’s dying and seeks to make sure his family will be OK, what is offered terrifies him.

A lot of this film resonates in what’s going on in the world. What we’re doing on the environment, we could be looking at a potential future that awaits for us.

From writer-director Guy Moshe (Bunraku, Holly), LX 2048 is a powerful, thought-provoking sci-fi starring James D’Arcy (Dunkirk, Agent Carter), Anna Brewster (Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, Versaille), Gina McKee (Catherine the Great, Bodyguard) and Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods, The Good Fight).
