Inside Out 2 defeats the competition for a third week running as it retains its place at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart.
While the film is on its third consecutive week at the top, it has only narrowly blocked the most talked about disaster film of the year Twisters – leading by 1,980 sales.
Twisters (2) makes its debut as the highest new entry of the week; retired storm chaser Kate Carter (Daisy Edgar-Jones) is persuaded to return to Oklahoma after a tragedy several years prior. Her path collides with social media superstar Tyler Owens (Glen Powell) and the pair are forced to team up as they learn a series of large and violent tornadoes are heading towards them.
Last weeks new entries find themselves blown away with Despicable Me 4 dropping to Number 3, while A Quiet Place: Day One is down one to Number 4.
Rounding out the Top 5 is another brand-new entry, action-comedy Bad Boys: Ride or Die (5). The fourth instalment of the Bad Boys series sees Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their starring roles once again as they attempt to clear the name of their late captain after he’s falsely accused of a crime.
Amy Winehouse biopic Back To Black rebounds one (6), finishing just ahead of The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring which leaps ten (7). The following two LOTR films also feature in this week’s Top 20, with The Two Towers (10) and The Return of the King (13) both up 18 places.
The Garfield Movie bounces back into the Top 10, reaching a brand-new peak (8), and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga drops three (9).
