Inde Navarrette Open to Marvel In Her Future
Inde Navarrette’s breakout success in horror hit Obsession continues to propel her towards Hollywood’s biggest opportunities, with the actress revealing she would be open to joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe after recently meeting with the director of Marvel’s upcoming X-Men reboot, which he mentioned in an interview with Nylon.
Navarrette, who has become one of the industry’s fastest-rising stars following her acclaimed performance as Nikki Freeman, disclosed that she recently met with filmmaker Jake Schreier, who is attached to direct Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated reboot. While no project was discussed publicly and no casting decisions have been announced, the meeting has already fuelled speculation about a potential role in the franchise.
The actress confirmed she would be interested in starring in a superhero film, adding further weight to rumours linking her to the Marvel universe. Fans have since begun suggesting a variety of mutant characters she could portray, with Mystique emerging as one of the most popular choices online.
Navarrette’s star has risen rapidly thanks to Obsession, the low-budget horror phenomenon that has become one of 2026’s most surprising box-office success stories. The film’s extraordinary commercial performance has transformed the former Superman & Lois actress into one of Hollywood’s most sought-after young talents.
Marvel is not the only major franchise potentially in Navarrette’s future. The actress also revealed that she has met with acclaimed director Michael Mann, sparking speculation that she could be in contention for a role in the long-awaited crime sequel Heat 2.
For now, any involvement in either project remains unconfirmed. However, with Hollywood taking notice of her breakout performance, Navarrette appears poised for a major next chapter as studios look to secure one of the year’s most in-demand emerging stars.
Obsession is now available to rent at home.
