In Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark Second UK Trailer The Jangly Man Is Coming!

SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK (2019)

After the Superbowl TV Spots and eventually a first Trailer that teased the creepy tone we can expect, today Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark unveils a full second UK Trailer… Oh boy The Jangly Man is coming!!!

The film based on Alvin Schwartz popular kids horror book anthology finally getting its big screen adaptation. It’s been a long road to bring it to the big screen with current version taking seven years to become reality.

The previous trailer set the tone and let us know this film is aiming at children, potentially teens. This new second trailer gives us a bit more insight into the story and that its a film for all ages.

We love the notion that as the kids read the story, things starting to happen and the monsters do their thing. The Pale Lady, the insect infested zit from hell, Harold and The Jangly Man. Is the Jangly Man an ‘urban myth’ or actual part of the book?

It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind…but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying tome.

Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark still doesn’t have a UK or Irish Release date just yet, apart from  ‘August’ release date (USA is still advertised as August 9th).

The film also stars Zoe Colletti, Michael Garza, Gabriel Rush, Austin Abrams, Dean Norris, Gil Bellows, and Lorraine Toussaint. André Øvredal is directing with Guillermo Del Toro executive producer.
