Hunter Schafer (Euphoria) and Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) are both set to star in psychological horror film, Palette.

The horror film project will mark his directorial feature debut for Zach Strauss. He’s made a name for himself as writer and has recently also penned Spike Leeโ€™s upcoming film Da Understudy.

Palette is described as a visceral and mind-bending psychological thriller, Dolly, a woman suffering from extreme synaesthesia, a rare condition where she is able to hear colours, gets recruited into a secretive, cult-like industry of colour design, uncovering the dark reality of what it takes to make the worldโ€™s greatest hues.

Schafer will play โ€˜Dolly,โ€™ Rapace will play the companyโ€™s enigmatic executive โ€˜Latriceโ€™ and Frankie Shaw (SMILF, MR. Robot) has joined the cast as โ€˜Sidney’, Hunterโ€™s cutthroat rival.

Both actors are no strangers to the horror genre. Schaferโ€™s upcoming film Cuckoo which is set to premiere this month’s Berlinale. The Euphoria actor has also recently completed filming Mother Mary, directed by David Lowery and is filming on Kinds of Kindness, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.

Strauss commented โ€œI feel beyond lucky to be making this dark and twisted movie with a truly exceptional cast and with such incredible partners in Anton, I know weโ€™re going to create something really special.โ€

Anton are selling the world rights at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin and will present a sizzle reel for the film. CAA Media Finance and Verve Ventures will co-rep US rights with Anton.
