Has Twin Peaks Revival Been Cancelled?
It’s not official yet but if your eagerly waiting the return of David Lynch‘s cult TV series Twin Peaks, it may not happen, now report stating it’s been cut.
With WonderCon currently happening in California, USA there is gossip that the cult television series has been cancelled with tweets found by Business Insider stating American TV channel Showtime has pulled the plug. They are reporting the Tweets are coming from several attendees to the convention, however who the attendees source of the information is, we don’t know at this stage.
The news that series was returning to our smalls back in October delivered shockwaves , ones of excitement however the past few weeks David Lynch cast doubts of its return. He said nothing was actually officially confirmed and there was a stumbling block over DVD and Streaming rights which is holding up the contract. Everything is still up in the air and The Playlist are now reporting that The Twin Peaks Film Festival Facebook Page is now saying the iconic filmmaker has left due to what there saying is ‘budgetary reasons’.
It seems this is a letter written by Lynch himself who was due to direct every new episode with original cast members Kyle MacLachlan, Sherilyn Fenn and Sheryl Lee all set to return. Things could still go ahead, but can Twin Peaks really be Twin Peaks without David Lynch?

Twin Peaks follows the story of an FBI investigation by Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) into the murder of a homecoming queen Laura Palmer(Sheryl Lee). The series was surreal, bizarre, typical Lynchian style which lasted 2 seasons airing on BBC2 . In 1992 the series inspired a film called Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.
