Summering out in UK Cinemas 2nd December from Sony Pictures UK

Harsh Reality of Growing Up In Summering UK Trailer

Summer maybe a state of mind, growing up has harsh truths. Ahead of it’s UK cinema release next month Sony Pictures have released the Trailer for James Ponsoldt‘s Summering.

No bones about it, we’ve all had that day out or even hole Summer that was magical. You don’t want it to end, sadly it does in most cases. It’s a great adventure when you are young and Ponsoldt‘s film has that Stand By Me tone to it. School is that great friendship breaker and is for the girls in this film, sometimes what happens during the holidays can be too.

The film stars Megan Mullally, Lake Bell, Sarah Cooper, Ashley Madekwe, Lia Barnett, Madalen Mills, Eden Grace Redfield, and Sanai Victoria. We find ourselves in the middle of summer or more the last weekend before the break ends. Four girls have been enjoying the holiday so much until something horrible happens that makes them grow up. The foursome make a pact they would find out who and why their discovery ended up they way where.

When I said the vibe for Summering was like Stand By Me, you could argue it is that film but with girls. How an unforgettable experience will change these girls (or anyone) for better or worse. Will they still be friends when they get older?

During their last days of summer and childhood – the weekend before middle school begins – four girls struggle with the harsh truths of growing up and embark on a mysterious adventure. Starring Megan Mullally, Lake Bell, Sarah Cooper, Ashley Madekwe, Lia Barnett, Madalen Mills, Eden Grace Redfield, and Sanai Victoria.

Summering will debut in UK and Irish cinemas from 2nd December.
