7 years after his previous film Gus Van Sant returns to the director’s chair for crime drama Dead Man’s Wire. Row K have dropped the emotionally driven official (U.S) Trailer and it’s a cracker!
Van Sant will be known for his films Elephant, Milk, My Own Private Idaho and that 90’s Psycho remake! His latest creation takes us back to the 1970’s with a true life hostage drama which stars Bill Skarsgård, Dacre Montgomery, Colman Domingo, Cary Elwes, Myha’la, and Al Pacino.
Dead Man’s Wire takes us back to 1977 and the story which resulted in banker taken hostage. The whole spectacle created a media frenzy making the abductor Tony Kiritsis (Skarsgård) an anti-hero. Tony who felt cheated of money owed and wanted the money with an apology. Tony has a gun wired with a ‘Dead Man’s Wire‘ pointed at the banker.

We have no word on who will release this film and when in the UK and Ireland. Row K will release Dead Man’s Wire in the U.S on 16th January 2026. There is a limited awards qualifying run on 12th December.
