Get Ready To Hotstep To New The Great Gatsby UK Trailer

Whilst the summer maybe filled with destruction from comicbook superheroes and Classic Sci-Fi big screen adaptations Baz Luhrmann is making sure we will be partying too. So get ready to jive and hotstep as a third new trailer for The Great Gatsby is in town and it wants to party!

Whilst the previous trailers have highlighted the vibrancy, colours, flamboyancy, overall scale of The Great Gatsby , this new trailer showcases even more luxurious, a little more of the story, the romance but most of all the films contemporary score. Overseen by Jay-Z his choice to choose original modern sounds rather than the Jazz fuelled era the film set in  could be the film’s stumbling block even if you like the music choices. Contemporary music hasn’t always sat well in period based films however Luhrmann has been there, done that and won the battle (Moulin Rouge) with great success. So expect the likes of BeyonceLana Del Rey, and Florence And The Machine so will get down and jive or do the charleston to a , Andre 3000 track? In the words of one of his previous tunes ‘Hell Yeah’!

The Great Gatsby also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire,Carey Mulligan,Joel EdgertonJason Clarke,Isla Fisher and Elizabeth Debicki. The film is set to arrive in UK&Ireland on  16th May 2013, (10th May USA).

(UPDATE:5th April 2013 – A big thanks to Warner Bros UK who have sent us the official UK version, enjoy!)

The Great_Gatsby_UK Poster

The Great Gatsby follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super-rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.
