Gary Oldman Is In Big Trouble In New Mank Trailer

Mank (2020)

No one needs to be told Orson Welles Citizen’s Kane is one of the greatest films ever made. In David Fincher’s Mank it’s time to explore the explosive story Herman Mankiewicz the man who wrote the script. A man in big big trouble with everything, everyone.

Ahead of it’s cinema release next month and Netflix premiere in December, the streaming giants have released a second official Trailer.  A step into 1930’s Golden era Hollywood where the glitz was blinding and behind the scenes is hanging on with thread.

Gary Oldman is our titular character Herman J. Mankiewicz, talented screenwriter, but a troubled human being. Whilst battling at all odds to write the script, he’s battling alcohol, anyone who gets in his way especially Orson Welles. The film accounts the story and the race to get things finished on time.

We’re so stoked to finally see David Fincher direct a new feature. The film is sort of a passion project as the film is based off his later father’s story Jack Fincher. He’s went for the distinctive  throwback style of the 1930s era, it’s also a change of style  for him too. We’re not concerned, we cannot wait to see this one!
