Sweden’s Football Drama Oscar Nominee film set for UK Release
Anyone worldwide knows football can be a cruel game, in Ronni Sandahl‘s Tigers the brutality of the modern game comes to the forefront. Today Studio Soho Distribution have released the UK Trailer that highlights everything has a price tag.
The film made it’s UK Premiere last month at Glasgow Film Festival, Tigers the true story of football prodigy Martin Bengtsson (played by Erik Ange) one Swedenโs most promising football talents Sweden has ever seen. At sixteen, his lifelong dream comes true when he is bought by one of Italyโs most prestigious clubs (Inter Milan). But things donโt go quite according to plan and his dream comes at a very high price in terms of sacrifice, dedication, pressure and – most of all – loneliness.
The film has garnered critical acclaimed at the festivals and countries the film has already played. It seems it’s one of those films you don’t have to be a football fan to enjoy it…
TIGERS is a life and death rollercoaster ride through the modern-day football industry. Tigers will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 1st July.
