First Trailer For Historical Drama Nuremberg
Russell Crowe stars as Hermann Göring directed by Zodiac producer James Vanderbilt
This November will mark the 80th Anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials. SKY will release James Vanderbilt‘s historical drama Nuremberg starring Russell Crowe as Hermann Göring.
The film marks Vanderbilt’s second directorial feature, after years of producing the likes of Zodiac, The Amazing Spider-Man 1 & 2 and Fountain Of Youth. This one stars Rami Malek as Douglas Kelley, Michael Shannon, Leo Woodall as translator Howard Triest.
Nuremberg is drama based on the book “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist” by Jack El-Hai. Inspired by the infamous trials which Hitler’s right hand man Göring. Malek as the psychiatrist who had to evaluate him, turning into a dark obsession.
The trailer is very short, only about 40 seconds long and first look at the upcoming film. Hopefully a reminder that fascism should never raise it’s ugly head once again.
Based on the book “The Nazi and the Psychiatrist” by Jack El-Hai, Nuremberg is inspired by the true story of the eponymous trials held by the Allies against the defeated Nazi regime. The film centres on American psychiatrist Douglas Kelley (Malek), who is tasked with determining whether Nazi prisoners are fit to stand trial for their war crimes. He finds himself in a complex battle of wits with Hermann Göring (Crowe), Hitler’s right-hand man.
The film’s cast also includes John Slattery, Mark O’Brien, Colin Hanks, Lydia Peckham, Wrenn Schmidt, Lotte Verbeek, and Andreas Pietschmann.
Nuremberg will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 14th November. The film will premiere on SKY Cinemas in January 2026. The film will also make it’s premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September.
